I had a wonderful day with Vicky and John, photographing their Wedding at Baxter Park Pavilion and then in the Byzantium Restaurant in Monikie

Vicky used to be the General Manager at Forbes of Kingennie, a Wedding Venue I visit a lot and I know her quite well. In her role there, she worked regularly with every local Wedding Photographer as well as dealing with the “my friend is doing my Wedding Photography” situation so she knows my work and how I work on the day. I was delighted that, having knowledge of so many Photographers, she chose me to be her Wedding Photographer last week. In fact, she even scheduled her date around my availability.

We had a really good fun day, everything came together as it should, Vickys planning obviously helped but the Weather was great, the Service by Maureen of Dundee Registrars was funny and personal and everyone set out to have a great day. It really was not like working.

I started as usual in Vickys house where they were getting ready, it was relaxed and chilled, no stress and we had a good laugh. I then headed up to Baxter Park to meet up with John and his Best Man  for their shots before Vicky arrived, its great to see people outside in the sun before the service.

Vicky arrived bang on time and Maureen got them Married, they were really happy during the service, you can see that in the photographs. Baxter Park is good for photography, both inside and out so we managed a few family shots and couple shots round the grounds before heading off to Byzantium VIA Carnoustie for a photo by the beach.

Monikie Country Park was looking great and we were allowed onto the jetty for a few more pictures then it was time for speeches and dinner.

Vicky and John had been taking dancing lessons and what a performance, it was flawless, all the guests were up on their feet clapping – they did really well. Sadly it was time for me to go  and leave them to party.

This what Vicky said on Facebook after they had seen their photographs

“Having known Angus for a number of years through managing a busy wedding venue, when it came to booking my photographer I didn’t have to think who we would have, Angus was our first choice and in fact we worked our date around his availability. He absolutely did not disappoint, Angus is hugely professional and Yet still managed to make us both feel at ease on the big day, we had many laughs as the day progressed. Angus takes time to research your venue and this greatly reduces the time spend taking photos allowing u time to spend with your guests which is a huge plus. Your wedding day flies in and it was great to have the extra time to spend with our guests. We got married on Saturday and our pictures were ready to view on Tuesday, I can not describe how pleased we are with them, they have captured the day perfectly and it was great seeing all the bits you miss on the day. Our guests expressions throughout the ceremony that you miss made us both laugh and cry! All the casual shots of our guests are fantastic. I can not recommend Angus highly enough we are both absolutely delighted that we made the right choice when we picked him. Thank you so much Angus xx”

Thank you Vicky and John for being such fun to work with
