I am in Forfar quite frequently photographing Weddings, probably 5 or 6 times this year and I know all the local Churches and Venues well. Christine and Michael had chosen Lowson Church for their Service, its a lovely big Church and a very friendly Minister – thats not always the case!

I started off my photography day at Christines house where she was getting ready with her friends, it was very very relaxed which is good. I stayed for a wee while and then headed over to the Church to get some shots of the guys before the service started. Wedding Photography is sometimes banned in Churches but not here, I was made very welcome, its good being reasonably well know by people in the Wedding Industry, Ministers and other people get to know that I wont overstep the boundaries and as a result I probably get more flexibility than other photographers.

After the Service was over, we took a few family photographs in the grounds of the Church, having everyone nearby was really helpful and it took just a few minutes to get them done. We had discussed the possibility of stopping by Glamis castle for a few shots on the way to Coupar Angus for the meal. We were allowed in after I had crossed a palm with silver and we spent 10 minutes shooting a few bride and groom shots round the castle.

Christine and Michael had chosen the Red House Hotel in Coupar Angus for their meal, its not a venue I am in very often but it looked lovely and apparently the food was excellent.  I headed home for dinner before then headed back for the dancing
