In Wedding Photography

House of Dun Wedding : If you are looking for a spectacular venue to hold your Wedding in the Montrose area of Scotland then the stately mansion house of Dun is the place to go. It’s a beautiful place with loads of photographic opportunities from a walled garden to beautiful old staircases and a great outdoor terrace area for a large group shot.

Lisa and Mark were Married here then moved onto Seaton park for their Wedding Meal, but as usual, I started off my day with Lisa and her maids who were getting ready in Lisas Parents house in Arbroath. Once she was safely in her dress, I shot off to House of Dun to get some shots of the guys as they arrived. The weather was fantastic, actually too bright for photography but so much better than rain. Lisa and Mark had decided on an indoor service no matter what the weather was and it was a lovely service conducted by Brenda Reid of the Humanist Society.

Once the service was over, we all made our way to the large terrace area in front of the house for a large group photograph then it was into the family photographs and a few couple hots round the grounds of the estate, with the sun being so harsh I was constantly looking out for areas of shade and thankfully I had been the week before for a look around and I knew where I was going.  After that it was onto drinking champaign in the walled garden in the sun – not me you understand but the guests. I was hovering in the background taking some photos of people chatting to each other.

Pretty soon however, the day was moving on and it was time to leave for Arbroath and dinner, Lisa and Mark were driven off in a car by Chauffeurs of Carnoustie and I headed off too. Speeches were followed quickly by dinner and dancing to music by the Karma Rockets, a band I seem to bump into a lot.  It was also good to work with VP Online again

What a lovely day with great people, thanks to Lisa and Mark for trusting me to record their special day.
