In Wedding Photography

Perthshire Wedding Photographer : For what was about my 15th Wedding at Dunkeld House Hotel in 2015, I was back again. It really is a beautiful Scottish Wedding Venue, most of my Weddings there were in the Summer but this late and unexpected booking came in for December, an unusual month to hold a Wedding and as a Professional Wedding Photographer, I am very used to having most of December off. However, with the opportunity to photograph  a really lovely couple in a beautiful Wedding venue, I was delighted to head back over the road to Dunkeld. This was second time round for both John and Susan and was to be a small and intimate Wedding just for family and close friends, I love getting to know my clients and you learn a lot about people when you are their photographer.

Susan was not keen on the idea of Bridal Prep shots but had instead asked me to go early and get some great family pictures of the kids before they got too excited and mucky. I had the opportunity to meet up with John and his guys for some Groom Photographs by the river before Susan arrived for the Service.

Speaking of the Service, this was the first time I had worked with this particular Registrar from Perth Registrars Office and it was a really lovely Wedding service tailored exactly to suit John and Susans wants and they obviously enjoyed it.

It was almost mid winter so close to the shortest day, light was at a premium, we headed outside to take advantage of what little light there was left for some family group shots but we were eventually forced inside before we finished. After dinner, I set up a little photo booth for the kids to keep them occupied before the dancing got underway.

After dinner there was some dancing which was mainly all the kids jumping about – it was time for me to go.

Thanks to Susan and John for trusting me with your big day – it was an absolute pleasure. Angus Forbes, Perthshire Wedding Photographer
