It’s always good to have a Wedding at Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Gillian and Andys was no different. They had chosen Chalmers Ardler Church as that is their own Church, I’ve been here once before when I photographed David and Rachels Wedding (rachel is the Ministers Daughter) so I know the Church well and the Minister trusts me to stick to the rules unlike some photographers who forget that Weddings are not all about Photography.
However, before we get that far, I was with Gillian and her girls in her parents house where they were all getting ready, good to catch up with Annie Voigt again who was getting the girls ready for the day. I stayed with them for a few hours capturing all the little details and then headed over to the Church to catch up with Andy and his Best Men before the Service started.
Pretty soon, Gillian and her Dad arrived courtesy of Chauffeurs of Carnoustie and it was time to get the service underway.
As usual a lovely and personal service by a Minister that actually knew the couple, I was allowed to take photographs from the back upstairs which gave me a good overview of the proceedings.
Then it was time to head off to the Carnoustie Golf Hotel for the dinner and party. The lobby area provided a good space for a few family photos before we had a walk round the grounds and the beach area for a few couple shots, finally it was time for speeches and dinner. As usual I ate in the restaurant and started editing the days photographe before the dancing started. Gillian had made an incredible job of decorating the room, its really the very best I have seen that room look. Not to mention the beautiful flowers from Stucio and Waow
Eat the Peach provided music for the evening and when I left after a couple of dances, the floor was full and jumping – a great night was just beginning. Another cracking Wedding at Carnoustie Golf Hotel
Thanks Andy and Gillian for making me so welcome and trusting me to record your very special day
