In Wedding Photography

I love a good Wedding at Forbes of Kingennie, always a pleasure to work there, I know the staff really well and know the resort like the back of my hand. I was very much looking forward to Carolyn and Graemes Wedding at Forbes of Kingennie last Saturday, a really lovely couple and all the plans for the day sounded lovely. It was so sad that Carolyns Mother passed away just a few weeks before the day, I understand that she really tried to make it but it wasn’t to be. Carolyn and her family decided that her Mother would want the day to go ahead and that’s what happened, there were obviously some sad moments but overall the day was full of joy and fun, just the way she would have wanted it to be I am sure.

Carolyn was getting ready in one of the lodges on the resort so I spent a couple of hours there with Meredith Scott Make Up who was doing her bit, getting all the girls ready. Carolyn is a beauty therapist herself so I guess for Merry, it was like me doing a photographers Wedding.  The boys were just next door so I managed to get a few shots there too before it was time to head down for the Service. Carolyn arrived with her Father and Bridesmaids carrying beautiful bouquets by Stucio and Waow.  Gary Smith was officiating and as usual it was a lovely and personal service written entirely by Graeme and Carolyn and delivered by Gary.

A big group shot just over the little bridge and then some family shots by the fishing ponds before the lovely Bob from Chauffeurs of Carnoustie drove them up to the Boathouse for a few couple shots before they went off to mingle and chat with their friends.

The speeches were fantastic, especially Carolyns Dads, it must be hard to follow a great public speaker.

Dinner was soon over and the dancing began, I stayed around for a few dances before heading home and leaving them to party
