I’m just back from a break in Spain, in the middle of our break we drove up to Seville for a few days, it’s a beautiful city and always very very hot. We’ve been before but never noticed Las Setas, Las Setas means Mushrooms and this sculpture was nick named Mushrooms by the locals because they felt it looked like a mushroom – can;t see it myself but who cares. Typically in Seville, every time they dig foundations they come across some sort of archeological feature that cant be disturbed, this time they made a feature out of it and built Las setas around it. For a small fee, you can take the lift up and walk round the top which offers great views across the city.
I just loved the shape of it, in the late evening light it was literally glowing, on this one occasion, I wished I had taken a better camera with me than my iphone
