My first of 2 Atholl palace Wedding this Month, seems I am to be in The Atholl Place quite a lot this year which is great because it’s another lovely venue and really popular. Aileen and Martin had booked me before meeting me because they live in Boston USA, Aileen comes from Scotland and Martin comes from Ireland so there was to be guests from all over the planet. This was the largest Wedding I have ever photographed with well over 100 guests and I was praying for good weather because I knew that would make the day more manageable. I was in luck, we had great weather.
The service was in the Bow Lounge conducted by Perth and Kinross Registrars, the sun streams in that window during the day but the views from it are spectacular. After the Wedding Service, we got straight into the photography, thankfully the ushers were fantastic and I really would have struggled without them. A quick wander round the grounds of the hotel for some lovely couple shots and Aileen and Martin were able to return to their guests for some mingling and drinking.
This is a fairly typical Atholl palace Wedding for me
Unusually, speeches were mingled between courses of dinner and 4 people were speaking so I was hanging about keeping a watch over what was happening to make sure I didn’t miss anything.
A grand march kicked off the Ceilidh Dancing then it was time for me to leave
This is what Martin and Aileen said after the day :
Hi Angus,Thank you for sending on all the photographs – they look fantastic. We were very pleased with how the photography (and everything else) went on the day. It was an absolute pleasure to have you capture our wedding.Again many thanks for helping make our day so memorableMartin & Aileen
