In Wedding Photography

Pitlochry Wedding Photographer – A very regular location for me is the beautiful Atholl Palace Hotel in Pitlochry, I photograph about 10 Weddings per year there and I really enjoy working with the staff in such a lovely photography friendly location. This time was no different, Jamie and Jason had booked me for the whole day and I knew it would be a lovely day, they put so much effort into all the little details and their piper was the best I have ever heard, he managed to replicate a Police Siren on his bagpipes just for one of the Bridesmaids who is a Cop.

As per usual, I spent the first part of the day with the girls getting ready, you soon get used to being a man in a womans world and the good thing about Atholl palace is the rooms are all well decorated and fresh so photography is quite easy actually. In between, I was up stairs with Jason and his guys getting some shots of them and it was good to bump into Jillian from Something Special who was getting the flowers sorted out.

Soon it was time to get Married, the Service was taken by Perth Registrars and was held in the Salon, nice big windows letting in lots of natural light. A lovely service with some great readings. As is usual at Atholl palace the group shot was at the front door and I was once again, up a ladder in the roadway.

A few family shots under the cover of the portico entrance then a bit of a wander round the hotel and grounds, including the Japanese Garden at the bottom of the driveway. I left Jamie and Jason to mingle for a while and chat to their friends before it was time for speeches. Jamies dad was very animated with his speech which makes for great pictures.

I enjoyed a burger in the bar while I downloaded and checked the days pictures then it as time for dancing

Thanks Jamie and Jason for inviting me to record your big day – it was an absolute pleasure to be your Pitlochry Wedding Photographer
